Saffron Grilled Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • A pinch of saffron threads
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish (optional)

 

 


Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, and saffron threads. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the saffron to infuse the oil.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them on a plate or tray.
  4. Drizzle the saffron-infused olive oil over the salmon fillets, coating them evenly on both sides. Use your hands or a brush to make sure the salmon is well coated.
  5. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill, skin side down if they have the skin on.
  7. Grill the salmon for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has a slightly charred appearance.
  8. Remove the grilled salmon from the heat and let it rest for a minute or two.
  9. Serve the saffron grilled salmon with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing fresh lemon juice over the fish.
  10. Optionally, garnish with fresh dill or parsley for added freshness and presentation.
